3:45 pm: Ministry of Finance: Gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue collected in month of December, 2019 is Rs 1,03,184 crore of which Central GST is Rs 19,962 crore, State GST is Rs 26,792 crore, Integrated GST is Rs 48,099 crore & Cess is Rs 8,331 crore.

3:30 pm: Enforcement Directorate attaches under Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 9 wind turbine generators and land located at Kulasekarapatti village of Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu which were held by M/s Nakoda Ltd, Surat totaling to Rs 18.08 crores, in a bank fraud case.

2:30 pm: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested an Additional Director General (ADG) of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) posted in Ludhiana and one middleman with 25 lakhs while taking bribe. Searches underway in Ludhiana, Noida and Delhi.

2:10 pm: Mumbai Police PRO DCP Pranaya Ashok: On the eve of New Year police registered total 778 cases against motorists for drunk driving violations.

11:45 am: Indian Space Research Organisation Chief K Sivan: Government has approved Chandrayan-3, the project is ongoing. The land acquisition for a second space port has been initiated and the port will be in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. We have made good progress on Chandrayan-2, even though we could not land successfully, the orbiter is still functioning, its going to function for the next 7 years to produce science data
