BJP boycotts, AAP walks out from all party meeting called by Punjab CM

CHANDIGRH: Punjab BJP has boycotted the all party meeting called by Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh whereas the am Aadmi Party(AAP) has walked out of the meeting for not accepting their demand of providing security to farmers on Singhu borders.

BJP spokesman said that Punjab CVM was not keen to resolve the issue and he is repsonsible for continuation of farmers;s agitation. The party said that they have boycotted the meeting as Chief Minister was playing politics over the issue.

The AAP has walked out of meeting after Chief Minister refused to accept the demand of providing security to farmers sitting on Delhi borders. Harpal Singh Cheema leader of opposition and AAP MLA said that when Punjab police can provide security to politicians and Police officers living in Delhi then why security cant be deployed for farmers who are facing attakcs by BJP goons. Chief Minister has reportedly turned down the issue saying they cant provide security in other states.

Earlier, AAP state president Bhagwant Mann asked Chief Minister to lead the farmers at Delhi who are feeling isolated. He said that Chief Minister wanted farmerts to protest in Dehi and now they are left in the lurch. He said that Police and BJP workers were harrassing farmers. Many farmers who went for tractor parade on Jan 26 were missing or in illegal custody of Delhi police.
